At Reston Station, A Long Winter's Nap, Plus Bollards That Are Significantly Less Fanciful Than We'd Been Led To Believe

Wiehle Avenue Station
Our Facebook BFFs at Reston Station posted this lovely photo of a pre-snowstorm sunset at the Wiehle Avenue Metro Station's much-touted civic plaza. It's eerily deserted, but we guess that's going to be the case for a bit longer now.

And we noticed something else. The once-fanciful concrete bollards appear to have been replaced by these glowy stick things:

Glowy Bollard
FEELING ALL THE FEELS. There are no words.

I just can't believe that someone would do that to a perfectly good bollard.
