    I have to say, a very unimpressive group this year, but I guess we have no one to blame but ourselves, especially in South Reston, where there isn't even any opposition!

    No one made any really compelling arguments why they should be elected, so I guess this will devolve into a popularity contest.

      You couldn't be more wrong. This is the strongest field in a decade.

      And if existing candidates are so wanting, why didn't you run?

    Chuck Goodman: just a few posts earlier, you were lamenting the lack of diversity with this years candidates, and how it only takes 25 signatures on a ballot to run.

    Now you say this is the strongest field in 10 years......you really need to make up your mind.

      Both things are true.

      It is the strongest field in ten years that could have been improved with a ethnic minority candidate.
