The Metro Silver Line, as Unveiled During the Reston Holiday Parade

Silver Line 1Wow, we were expecting something a bit more... trainlike. How will we stand blocking the doors while reading our newspaper iPhone?

Silver Line 2Budget cuts and the disenfranchisement of labor unions have apparently led to some minor design changes. On the plus side -- a stop right in front of Sephora!

Silver Line 3Time to throw away your SmarTrip card and check the want ads for a gently used Hummer, the end.

    With all of the proposed TOD development, the Silver Line will not change a danm thing traffic-wise in Reston for very long.

    No Growth is Smart Growth.

    Breaking news: Another delay added to an already pushed- schedule ( 6 more weeks) for track testing. Hope it works better than the Obamacare website when all is said and done. Nothing left to do now but to raise tolls again...

    Do you s'pose some of those parade trains cars (especially the one with 2 feet) could be used to run up and down the Silver Line tracks before--well, apparently forever???
