Apparently That *Was* a Tornado That Hit Reston Today (Update: Or Not)

So says the Washington Post. The heaviest damage appears to have been in the area of Fairway Apartments and Vantage Hill. Updates from our Twitter feed below (scroll down to get to the stormy bits):




Update: Fairfax County now says the damage appears to be the result of "straight-line winds."

    The local media in the DMV likes to jump on wannabe tornado 'touchdomwns' like Oprah jumps on a 2-for-1 lunch deal at Boston Market.

    You know, the attempts at humor by some of your posters, and this means you, Mean Daddy are pretty lame, but today, you are way over the line.

    My neighbors almost had their house split in two on Saturday by a falling tree, and by the grace of god, they weren'nt killed.

    These comments just aren't funny when a calamity strikes...wise up!
