On the Twitter Machine: Bout That Life, Way Too Much TMI, and Tragedy at Safeway

It's been a while since we looked at the Twitter Machine churning away next to the boiler in the basement of Restonian World Headquarters. So after we changed the air filter and added a quart of freon, we used it to, as always, sample the zeitgeist of our beloved earth-toned community:

Yeah should have tatoos say born to consult.jpg
The ruse is up. Guess we should etch over our "BORN TO AUDIT" tattoo.

No garden supply store.jpg
Well, Home Depot does have a pretty bitchin' garden section.

Cludes.jpg
Now that you mention it, it did seem like they went a bit light on the grenadine in our last Shirley Temple.

Don't we all?

happy ending.jpg
We love a story with a happy ending.

A story here.jpg
The opening sentence of the next Great American Restonian Novel.

Geography lesson.jpg
Quite true. Just don't look for the traffic circle.

We couldn't agree more.

When I saw the photo of the Safeway tragedy, I first thought it was an update of that classic anti-drug PSA:

"This is your brain on Eggstasy"

  2. Tragedy at Safeway... or a fine example of "public art" in our little community?

  3. Restonian, the name of the gang is "Sons of Auditors" and the slogan is "Born to Depreciate".

I know it's tough to keep up on the landscape of Reston's gangs when you live north of the DMZ/DTR, but do try to keep up.

  4. I thought it was performance art....(the last refuge of the talentless).
