Seriously, though, in his first post, Simon makes a few rookie "web logger" mistakes -- like using polysyllabic words and making a logical, coherent argument supported by facts and reasonable commentary. Give him time, though, and we're sure he'll get the hang of it.
Green space. Conformist architectural noncomformity. Lots of earth tones. Home Depot! A look at what's doing in the New Town (tm) of Reston (tm), warts and all.

Breaking: Reston Founder Gets Him One of Those Fancy "Web Logs" We Keep Hearing About
Seriously, though, in his first post, Simon makes a few rookie "web logger" mistakes -- like using polysyllabic words and making a logical, coherent argument supported by facts and reasonable commentary. Give him time, though, and we're sure he'll get the hang of it.
Just as soon as he finds a point. Can we call him Oblio?
ReplyDeleteGreat to see him joining the Web 2.0 crowd
ReplyDeleteMaginot Line = No Fear?????? WTF
ReplyDeleteTake away the keyboard before he does real damage to his benevolent benefactor image.
I think you're missing the point. He's making a good argument for not respecting conventional wisdom, which would be a good thing for our current elected leaders to consider.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree -- "... He's making a good argument for not respecting conventional wisdom, which would be a good thing for our current elected leaders to consider... "
ReplyDeleteIf by "current elected leaders" you are referrring to the RA gaggle, may I humbly submit that they haven't been following conventional wisdom which is how they've gotten themselves into 3 failed controversies this year and now have a credibility gap worthy of LBJ in late '67.
ReplyDeleteCW in any small town/community organization management is to be transparent as possible, bring the constituency in on the take-off of any problem study exercise and be accountable for the mistakes of the staff and the insiders.
Respectfully, RA leadership have done none of that but instead run the thing like it's their private club and the assessment payers are ignorant serfs or peons.
Without signifant personnel changes in leadership, this problem is probably not recoverable for some time to come.
I think the RA got so excited at the thought of Dear Leader speaking directly to the huddled masses that they just figured Bob + Blog = Blob
