Like when he said Ken turned down RA's request for a debate. (They didn't organize the debate, it was just being held on their property.) The signs were pretty ridiculous. I didn't understand most of the rhyming ones or what I was supposed to take away from a rhyme that told me information I already know. Attack ads are never flattering for either side and I don't think they make much difference in the end.

To the person who said Cannon is fiscally responsible and whatnot, I'm just curious how you know that. I know his web site says he worked with X and Y groups/companies but is there more proof than taking his word for it that he did well? A few years of budget analysis to look at or references from previous employers of his budgetary prowess? I'd really like to know more about this if there is more.

And of course he can single-handedly take down MS-13. He's on neighborhood watch! Like I said, really nice guy, really energetic guy but not this time. Maybe next election he'll get another chance and be able to start sooner.

I agree, I wish that both current and past preside...

I agree, I wish that both current and past presidents would take ownership of the issues that are left on the table once they take office.

Nothing worse then hearing the phrase "well,I inherited this..."

1:23 still there?

1:23 still there?

Well, if you want to be intellectually honest, you...

Well, if you want to be intellectually honest, you should have continued your list:

Vietnam - Kennedy/Johnson (D/D)
Korea - Truman (D)
World War II - Roosevelt (D)
World War I - Wilson (D)

Some not too bright Republican politician years ago called these four wars "Democratic wars", and was roundly and rightly criticized. I will vote for Cannon.
I like government to be efficient and not corrupt. I have no dog in the fight over R or D. Just show me good governance.
Plum, for 30 years, has spent the majority of Reston's state tax revenue, in other areas of the state. Our tax dollars went to Richmond, never to return. I read his excuses for 20 years. Enough. Plum gives a very poor return on equity.
I will add that when I quizzed Plum on a local ecological issue, he got the science wrong.
Plum's votes have resulted in more ecologic damage and more unjustified spending.
His knowledge base seems very outdated. His economic models emphasize control by elites, not individual empowerment. He has directly left the state poorer by ruling out a variety of common-sense, but conservative investment measures.
One example is pulling the Wiehle charter. Because of this, we have divided government in Reston, get less for our tax dollar, and do not get any of the economies of scale a town can bring.
There are successful anti-crime programs, but Plum can't find them. He truly sounds like a ward heeler supporting his sycophants with clout.

Cannon look a lot better for all Restonians.
