The problem is, Giant's current management doesn't have or understand that 33-year history. They don't even understand how to operate a store, I think. Apparently, Giant's current owners bought Giant for the purpose of running it into the ground and making $$$. They don't care about customers.

That is a good question. Unfortunately Giant is towing the corporate line and refusing to talk to anyone about the whys and hows of their closure. You'd think after 33 years they owe it to the community to be a little more forthcoming.
As for Tall Oaks, they better get another anchor in, fast, or the whole place is going to sink.

Here's the weird thing: They have a sign up on the door saying that they're transferring all prescriptions not to the other Giant in North Point, but to a Safeway in South Lakes... which is further away.

I'm trying to come up with a good conspiracy theory to explain this one, but so far, I got nothing.
