They're criminals largely because they're lazy.

The guys as described in those hits above are crashing in and around Reston with 'friends' or 'family' who won't practice tough love and tell them to go back home.

There actually is a hierarchy within crime, and the guys who traveled from NY and NJ to target Indian households were higher on the food chain than the typical 'stop and rob' that we see in and around the trails in Reston. Thus, they travel.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6412900754136064810.post-28518433860800541512010-01-20T21:56:44.479-05:002010-01-20T21:56:44.479-05:00I don't know a whole lot about crime, but read...I don't know a whole lot about crime, but reading about it here it does seem that criminals tend to travel to do their crime. It makes sense. Why would you commit a crime in a neighborhood you normally are in - people would recognize you much more easily. The Restonian criminals, though, seem to be a lot more ambitious and travel all the way to Tenessee! Then again, weren't those guys who were targeting Indian households from New York and New Jersey? All this regional and interstate travel would make for a great Google Maps mashup!dvdmonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07826983459613642052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6412900754136064810.post-13480928914353499722010-01-20T17:20:31.877-05:002010-01-20T17:20:31.877-05:002:28, every bank I've ever been to in the Dist...2:28, every bank I've ever been to in the District has bullet proof plexiglass between the tellers and the unwashed masses. Heck, even in many of the bodegos and fast food places, you'll have the same arrangement. I've never seen that in the 'burbs. That is, until I went to SunTrust branch in Centreville just last week.

Is there a crime problem at the intersection of routes 28 & 29 that rivals that of our own piece of paradise that I have not been privy to?
